From the moment she could stand, Lauren danced.  Music would play, and without hesitation, she moved.  Growing up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she trained at the Lonnie D. Young Center and LaSalle University in multiple styles—ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern and hip-hop—developing both technical skills and a deep appreciation for the artistry. Lauren would go on to study dance at Temple University, embracing the history and meaning behind the art which she loves dearly.  Throughout her childhood to adulthood, she immersed herself in the performing arts, but dance remained at the center of it all.  Whether performing on stage, learning choreography in class, or simply dancing for herself, she found a sense of joy, purpose and belonging in every step.

Appreciating the positive character-building traits, Lauren was determined to continue living a life deeply rooted in the performing arts.  In 1997, she began a journey of transitioning from personal passion to connecting with others who share the same appreciation for the performing arts.  She not only focused on techniques across various dance genres but used the opportunity to influence confidence, discipline, creativity and self-expression. Lauren has worked with individuals of various ages, skill levels, cultures  and communities throughout the country, including, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, San Diego, California, Ashburn, Virginia and Durham, North Carolina. In 2025, she began working on a plan to not only connect with performers but provide a safe space where performers can express themselves freely, here, in Chesterfield County.  The safe space will provide every individual the freedom to express joy, explore imagination, connect genuinely and activate their creativity.  Welcome to Studio LIVE Dance Company!
